Warm-up matches schedule for all teams in U19CWC in South Africa

As is the norm in ICC Global/Qualifier events, the warm-up matches schedule has been announced for the 2020 ICC U19 Cricket World Cup in South Africa from Jan 17th – Feb 09th, 2020.

The warm-up matches will be played from Jan 12th – 15th, 2020, before the tournament proper begins from Jan 17th. The 2020 edition will see the Associate nations from Scotland, Canada, United Arab Emirates, Nigeria and Japan take part in the tournament, who join the top 11 countries from the previously held edition in 2018 in New Zealand.

Nigeria, for whom it will be their maiden appearance in an ICC World Cup event in any category (men’s/women’s/U19), will have strong opposition in the form of Pakistan and South Africa in their warm-up games. Likewise for Canada, they will be facing Australia and West Indies in their warm-up fixtures.

Another World Cup debutantes, Japan, will take on fellow Associate members Scotland and United Arab Emirates in their warm-up games, while Scotland and UAE get a game against West Indies and New Zealand respectively before the tournament proper begins.
