2020 Mid Premier League resumes with Darwin ODD Cup

Darwin Cricket have resumed the 2020 Mid Premier League season with the 50-overs competition, after successfully hosting CDU Top End T20 event a fortnight earlier. The tournament will feature the seven Darwin Premier Grade clubs (Tracy Village Cricket Club, Waratah Cricket Club, PINT Cricket Club, Palmerston Cricket Club, Darwin Cricket Club, Nightcliff Cricket Club and Southern Districts Cricket Club) in the 50-overs format, with each match day featuring three games across various venues on every Saturdays during the weekends until Sep 2020.

All the teams will play each other in a double round-robin league format, followed by the knock-out stages of the competition. The first round of group stage matches were held on 13th Jun 2020, with the next round of matches to be played on 20th Jun 2020. Waratah Cricket Club, the winners of the Top End T20 tournament, will look forward to continuing their form into the 50-overs format as well. Southern Districts are the defending Champions from the 2019 edition of the tournament, where they were victorious over Darwin Cricket Club in the final.
