Timor Leste Cricket Federation (Federação de Criquete Timor-Leste), who are the Cricket Board for the sport in the Southeast Asian country, will be organizing the first-ever Men’s Cricket League tournament from 28th July – 09th August, 2023. The tournament will have four (4) teams (Ermera Avengers, Dili Dragons, Aileu Hunters and Baucau Blasters) competing for the title, with a total of fifteen (15) games to be played in the double round-robin group stage format. The Board also has plans to introduce Women’s competition after the conclusion of the Men’s tournament.
Cricket Federation of Timor Leste has been working in the country since 2013, and is an approved sports body by the country’s Olympic and Sports Authority. Currently the sport has been taken by more than 170+ players (Senior Men’s/Women’s and Juniors) in the country.
