Oman’s National players excel in domestic ODI tournament

Oman’s national player Zeeshan Maqsood led from the front, scoring a splendid 102 for his club Assarain as they fought well to reach a respectable total of 232 before getting bowled out in 46.2 overs. Their opponents, Enhance bowled with discipline and aggression, striking at regular intervals as seven of Assarain batsmen failed to reach double figures. Zeeshan’s century was followed by a fighting 45 off 66 by Nadeem, who later went on to take three wickets to guide Assarain to victory.

Ahmed Fayyaz Butt took 4/36 for Enhance and was well supported by Sanuth Mohamed Ebrahim, who bagged three wickets in his six-over spell during the death overs.

Opener Khawar Ali led the chase for Enhance with a run-a-ball 88 taking the team to 158/3 before Nadeem removed Khawar in the 31st over.

Mehran Khan’s quickfire 43 took the team close to 200 before Vinukumar took the center-stage, taking four wickets in quick time to derail Enhance’s chase as they were bundled out for 209 in the 46th over, giving Assarain a 23-run victory.
