Afro T20 Cricket League kicks-off with warm-up fixtures before main tournament from 12th December

The Afro T20 Cricket League action has started in Uganda with warm-up fixtures held over the weekend before the proper tournament start on 12th December, 2017.

Domestic players in Uganda and overseas professionals from Pakistan, Kenya, UAE, USA & some other countries, totalling 60 foreigners are going to take part in the competition which will run until 24th December. Local players, Arthur Kyobe & Roger Mukasa have started well in the warm-up and will be expected to perform big when the main tournament starts.

Recently retired Pakistan International, Saeed Ajmal also warmed-up in style picking up 3/10 for his team, Hippo Warriors.

Here are the results of the warm-up fixtures for Afro T20 Cricket League:

Raging Bulls 167/3 in 20 overs (Abraham Vadada 68, Riazat Ali 42 n.o) beat Raging Lions 118/9 in 17.2 overs (Arthur Kyobe 75, Aneef Mohammed 2/32, Riazat Ali 2/12) by 49 runs (Duckworth-Lewis method)

Rising Zebras 243/4 in 20 overs (Pradeep 127, Ashwani Mandvhani 66, Rahul Nehra 27) beat Roaring Lions 179/7 in 20 overs (Abdul Shakoor 49, Jatinder Singh 31, Zephaniah Arinaitwe 25, Irfan Afridi 2/23) by 64 runs.

Charging Leopards 55/3 in 5 overs (Simon Ssesazi 24, Hassan Raza 23 n.o) lost to Mighty Rhinos 60/1 in 4.5 overs (Roger Mukasa 50) by 9 wickets (Duckworth-Lewis method)

Hippo Warriors 141 all out in 20 overs beat Royal Elephants 104 all out (Saeed Ajmal 3/10) by 37 runs
