Sri Lanka’s Farveez Maharoof joins Kathmandu Kings XI for 2017 Everest Premier League

Sri Lanka International, Farveez Maharoof has arrived in Kathmandu to take part in 2017 Everest Premier League in which he will be seen donning the colours for Kathmandu Kings XI.

EPL has got ICC’s approval for the tournament to go ahead and with that comes the approval for foreign players to take part in the T20 league.

The 2017 EPL will be played between Dec 18th – 30th, 2017 at Tribhuvan University ground and will have 6 teams fighting for the title namely, Kathmandu Kings XI, Lalitpur Patriots, Chitwan Tigers, Pokhara Rhinos, Biratnagar Warriors & Bhairahawa Gladiators. Kathmandu Kings XI play the opening match of the tournament against Lalitpur Patriots on 18th Dec.

Maharoof took part in the recently concluded Hong Kong World Sixes tournament for Sri Lanka and is an experienced seasoned cricketer having played in 91 T20 matches making 861 runs and picking 88 wickets @7.35 runs per over. An all-rounder by trade, Maharoof has represented Sri Lanka in 22 test matches, 8 T20I’s and 109 ODI’s.
