Nepal has to give in into the hands of the weather conditions which spoilt their hopes of staying alive in the race for a top 4 finish in the WCL Championship after the conclusion of Round 7 matches in December.
Nepal & Hong Kong shared a point each from the match and hence, Nepal has now been relegated to ICC WCL Division 2.
Now, Nepal will meet with UAE, who were related to Division 2 as well, twice over the period of 3 months between December 2017 & February 2018.
Both teams will play their final round of 2 WCL matches on Dec 6th & 8th in UAE. Both will meet again in the month of Feb in the ICC WCL Division 2 in Namibia, where they will be fighting for finish in the top 2 in the points table at the end of the event to qualify for World Cup Qualifiers.
With pitch conditions somewhat similar that of Windhoek in Namibia to the grounds in UAE, it will be vital for both teams to gain momentum ahead of Division 2.
UAE, Namibia, Nepal, Oman, Canada & another team from WCL Championship will constitute the 6 team event.
