Scotland announce squad and live broadcast for Afghanistan ODI series

Cricket Scotland have announced a 14-member squad for their upcoming 2-match ODI series against Afghanistan on 08th & 10th May at Grange in Edinburgh.

The fixtures are Scotland’s first home ODI fixtures after the famous ODI win over England a year ago, and will give new head coach Shane Burger the opportunity to continue the strong home show to get more International fixtures in the future. Scotland also host Sri Lanka for a 2-match ODI series after the Afghanistan series.

Scotland’s previous 50-overs assignments came in Feb 2019, when they played Oman (who themselves secured ODI status recently in WCL Division 2) in a 3-match series in 50-overs format, which they won 2-1, during their tour to Oman.

The ODI matches against Afghanistan will also be live broadcast on Cricket Scotland’s YouTube channel.

Scotland Squad:

Kyle Coetzer (Captain), Richie Berrington, Matthew Cross, Alasdair Evans, Michael Jones, Michael Leask, Calum MacLeod, Gavin Main, George Munsey, Safyaan Sharif, Tom Sole, Craig Wallace, Mark Watt & Brad Wheal
