Uganda T20 Blitz announced with Live Streaming deals

Uganda Cricket Association (UCA) have announced that the national set-up players along with other domestic talent will be part of the Uganda T20 Blitz tournament from March 13th – 21st at Lugogo Oval.

The tournament has been organized after head coach Lawrence Mathalane emphasized on having the national players get more match-time in the middle before Uganda tours Namibia in April 2021.

Four franchises, namely Kidepo Zebras, Rwenzori Vipers, Nile Crocodiles and Bwindi Gorillas will be part of the tournament, with each team to consist of 14 players in the squad. The squads will be coached by Lawrence Ssematimba (Gorillas), Ivan Thawithemwira (Vipers), Jackson Ogwang (Zebras) and Robinson Turinawe (Crocodiles).

With live streaming agreements in place for UCA for providing global viewership through Ninety93 (Facebook) and ThrillTV (YouTube), the players will look forward to put their best foot forward and get noticed by global scouts for opportunities in overseas T20 leagues.
