Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) have announced that they will be using 5 venues for 2019 ICC World Cup Qualifiers in March 2018.
Harare Sports Club and Bulawayo’s Queens Sports Club grounds will be the used for televised matches in the 10-team tournament, while Old Hararians ground, Bulawayo’s Athletic Club ground and Kwekwe Sports Club ground will be the other 3 venues to host the qualifying matches.
The hosting fee given by ICC will be used to upgrade facilities and infrastructure of all the grounds, the latter 3 being non-accredited grounds for hosting ODI status matches.
The 10-team tournament will feature West Indies, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe, Ireland & 6 Associate countries (Top 4 from WCL Championship + Top 2 from ICC WCL Division 2). Top 2 teams from the event will qualify for 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup.
